Avoiding Stressful Events Is A Good Idea
You may read the title and say that it is impossible, but it may not be. Stress can happen at anytime during the day. Avoiding all stress would be wonderful and not entirely possible, so we have to do our best to manage as well as avoid a stressful situation. For example, if you are invited to a party and you know that someone you do not get along with will be there and you know it is going to cause some problems then by all means avoid the stress and stay away from the party. Now if you know your rent is due and you are short, this is something that you cannot avoid. Though it doesn't mean that you cannot deal with it in a different way.
Take a look at your healthy lifestyle; the choices that you make or made can affect your stress level. One way to help with stress is to search for that balance between work, family and personal needs. This task is not an easy one and it may take you some time but you have to really try to get this under control. One of the important things is to take sometime for yourself, take a nice quite bubble bath, read a good book or watch your favorite movie.
Another way to manage stress is to get enough sleep, this we all know is not possible all the time but make it a point to get enough, it may not be what you would like but at least 6 to 7 hours would be a great. You can also try to add exercise to your routine, take 30 minutes a day and take a walk, go jogging, walk a treadmill something relaxing that will help work out the stress and keep your heart pumping.
One of the best ways to help avoid stress is through a great support system. By having friends and family work with you to help you keep away from stressful situations. Do not be afraid to ask for help, friends and family are there when you need to talk and you need this in order to manage your stress. If you feel like you need to talk to a professional counselor, they can help you figure out what is causing you stress as well as how to manage and avoid certain situation.
In some instances you may have to change your thinking about certain situations, avoid people, places and things that cause you the most stress. Don't put yourself into a position to encounter stress unless you positively cannot avoid it. One way to relieve stress is by talking about your feelings, if someone is causing you stress, let them know how you feel, you don't have to yell or shout, you can even write it down and never give it to them but let the feelings out somehow and you will be surprised at how much better you feel.
We cannot avoid stress all the time but by avoiding the situations we can or by changing how you view things can really keep a lot of stress off of you and you will start to feel like yourself again.
